To apply, clubs must commit to provide a smoke free environment whilst young people are training or are taking part in fixtures. Club coaches will be given training and resources to implement a smoke free policy that will contribute to creating an environment for young people that complements a healthy lifestyle. Successful applicants will receive a £500 grant to buy extra equipment or provide additional facilities & training at the sports club.
Who can apply?
This grant programme is open to charitable sports groups based in Bath & North East Somerset which coach young people (aged 6-17) in outdoor team-based sports. Applications from local clubs in South Bath, Radstock and Midsomer Norton are particularly welcome as are applications from clubs which coach youth players in football. These applications are a priority. Applicants must send at least one coach on the brief intervention training session to be held on Thursday 11th January 2018 in the evening in the South of Bath (Odd Down).
