The Woodworks Project is a new charity, established to continue the successful furniture workshop project run for the past ten years by a well-known Bath charity.
A grant of £33,800 (over two years) from the Henry Smith Charitable Fund
The Woodworks Project runs a successful furniture workshop, helping the community’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people to move forward in their lives.
The project offers supported training in furniture making, restoration and upholstery to people aged 18 and upwards who have suffered with mental or physical ill health, people in recovery from drug or alcohol addictions, or people who find themselves marginalised from mainstream opportunities for other reasons.
The Woodworks Project provides an inclusive and safe space where people can learn new skills, contribute, increase self-confidence, connect with others and increase their employability.
