Accessibility

At Quartet Community Foundation we are committed to making our website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of this website and, in doing so, adher to internationally accepted standards and guidelines. This website endeavours to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and is working towards full AA compliance.

We aim to ensure that this website is accessible to people who use assistive technology such as screen readers and speech-input software and those unable to use a mouse or a pointing device.

As part of our committement to accessibility and usability we are investigating further options to improve accessibility as we continue to develop this website.

Accessibility features that can be found on this website include:

  • The use of simple fonts with text that can be re-sized, responsive to different device sizes
  • A responsive design which works across all desktop and portable devices and browsers
  • Colours that are easy to read
  • Use of plain English
  • All pages navigable using a keyboard
  • Minimal use of PDF downloads
  • Links have meaningful text that explains what the user is clicking on

Areas that we are developing

  • Applying captions to videos
  • Text within images such as infographics

We are working to enhance accessibility across our operation and services. If you have any kind of access needs that you would like to discuss, please get in touch with us by email at info@quartetcf.org.uk, by phone on 0117 989 7700, or by visiting us at Royal Oak House, Royal Oak Avenue, Bristol, BS1 4GB (a fully-accessible building).
