3. Tampon Tax Community Fund

Local women can now benefit from grants through the Tampon Tax Community Fund

Community groups and projects that support women and girls can apply for grants of up to £10,000 through the Tampon Tax Community Fund. Quartet Community Foundation is delighted to be working in partnership with UK Community Foundations to run the Tampon Tax Community Fund in the West of England.

We will be working with community groups and charities running projects that support women and girls to build skills and confidence, improve their health and wellbeing, and build social networks.

A key focus will be funding preventative work to reduce the risk of crisis at different life stages. This may be by helping women and girls get work, raising awareness about health issues, or by creating and developing peer networks.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available. Applications to this fund opened on Monday 17 September and the deadline for applications is 11 October 2019.

The Tampon Tax Fund allocates funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls.
