New grant programme launches today to support our vital charitable causes

Local charities can swiftly get help to those that need it

Today we launch the new Coronavirus Recovery and Stabilisation grant programme to support organisations affected by lockdown so they can continue to do what they do best – improve the lives of local people.

The funding will help local charitable causes that are often facing significant financial challenges as well as an increased demand for their services. Grants of up to £10,000 are available and can cover core costs. Groups in Bristol, B&NES, North Somerset and South Glos can apply.

Quartet Philanthropy Director Ronnie Brown explains how the fund will help local groups:  “We have supported many groups through the immediate crisis and recognise that they have been seriously stretched and are currently very fragile. Their disappearance would be hugely damaging to the communities they support.

“We want to be flexible to what organisations need so this Recovery Fund will offer core costs support and breathing space to help them plan their future, to recast how their organisations are going to survive and to help them continue to offer valuable support for vulnerable local people.”

This is the first part of a Recovery Phase plan.  We’re keen to hear from organisations that may not have applied to us before, as well as long standing grant recipients, so please pass the word on.
