Quartet Community Foundation is one the UK’s leading Community Foundations with more than 30 years success in matching donors with local community projects that support this area’s most disadvantaged people. With a permanent endowment of over £27 million, last year alone we distributed grants worth over £2.8 million to nearly 1,000 different organisations, making a real difference to the lives of those most in need in our community.

But there’s a problem we’re determined to tackle. Annually, charities receive £10.3bn in donations from business and individuals but 90% of donations go directly to the largest 6.8% of charities. Small and micro charities – which make up more than 70% of the total – receive only 3% of the income. Quartet is working to address this imbalance and to encourage more business leaders and their employees to engage with small local good causes.

We’re looking for a special person to play a key role in our work to encourage businesses to support local good causes and inspire their employees, clients and suppliers too. You will raise the profile of Quartet and this initiative through on and off-line communications as well as face to face meetings and lots of networking. This will include:

• inspiring businesses and their employees to work through Quartet to support local good causes
• running our programme to stimulate Professional Advisers to discuss philanthropy with their clients
• programme of regular communications with engaged supporters
• overseeing the design and production of a range of marketing materials (on and off line)
• setting up and managing events
• being a key player in this small, dedicated team.

If you are experienced in business development, marketing with some events management knowledge and you want your words and ideas to make a real difference to disadvantaged people then we want to hear from you.

Applicants are invited to apply by sending a letter of application stating how you meet the criteria, along with your CV and a completed application form to info@quartetcf.org.uk by 5pm on Monday 16 April 2018. Interviews will take place on Monday 23 April 2018.
