About the Tampon Tax Community Fund
Quartet Community Foundation are working with UK Community Foundations to deliver the Tampon Tax Community Fund in the West of England.

The Tampon Tax Fund allocates funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls. Quartet Community Foundation will be awarding grants of £5,000 – £10,000 to charities and community groups delivering projects that support women and girls to build skills and confidence, improve their health and wellbeing, and build social networks.

Aims of this grants programme
This programme aims to fund small-scale interventions (for a duration of up to 12 months), which will make a considerable difference to the lives and happiness of women and girls by raising their aspirations and combating the influences that affect their confidence.

What you can apply for?
We will respond to local need, but projects are likely to focus on helping women and girls back into work, raising awareness about health issues and creating and developing peer networks. A key focus will be funding preventative work to reduce the risk of crisis at different life stages.

Who can apply?
Grants will be made to grass-roots groups working with women and girls to provide localised support. We encourage groups from more deprived areas and/or working with beneficiaries with multiple disadvantages to apply. Further information on priority applicants is provided in the Grant Guidelines (see link below).

Decisions on the applications we receive will be in early December.

Please download and read the guidelines below before applying for a grant.
