Could your passion for organising events and growing partnerships change lives?
Events and Partnerships Executive
Salary range £24,000 – £26,000 pro rata (21 hours per week)
Quartet Community Foundation is one the oldest and largest Community Foundations in the UK. With a permanent endowment of £33 million, last year alone we distributed grants worth over £3.5 million. We connect people who care with causes that matter and last year our grants helped more than 800 different organisations across the West of England support over 230,000 people, making a real difference to the lives of those most in need in our communities.
It’s a very exciting time to join the Quartet team. We are making more grants than ever before, playing a key role in inspiring more local philanthropy and our influence is spreading locally and nationally.
We’re looking for someone with brilliant organisational skills who will use their passion for events to create and run an engaging events programme for our supporters. You’ll also build up our partnerships with key private client advisers and work on our long-term legacy giving programme. To engage our existing and potential supporters, it is very important that our events programme is diverse, stimulating and extremely well organised and that our partnerships with key advisers are stronger and deeper every year.
As well as the satisfaction of knowing you are contributing to improving the lives of thousands of people here, the successful applicant will be part of a focused, high performing team with your own special niche and where your skills will be developed.
You probably have not carried out all the tasks in this role before; as long as you have proven event management skills and you’re a brilliant organiser and people person we’ll teach you the rest.
Reporting to our CEO, the Events & Partnerships Executive will:
- Create and run engagement events from small dinners to community workshops and our Annual Celebration
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key private client advisers to inspire more local philanthropy
- Help implement our new strategy for legacy giving.
This is a great role for a person who believes in supporting grass-roots organisations and who has proven event creation and management skills. If you have set up long-lasting partnerships then we think you’ll love the opportunity to start a new stream of relationships for us too.
To put your talent at the heart of inspiring more local philanthropy that will help change thousands of lives for the better each year, apply by sending a letter stating why this is your dream job and how you meet the criteria, along with your CV and a completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Friday 11 October 2019. Interviews will take place on Thursday 17 October 2019.
For an informal conversation about the role, please contact our CEO Sue Turner on 0117 989 7700.
