Covid impact report

COVID Impact ReportThe new report outlines a record year of both grant-making and fundraising as we rose to the challenges of Covid

Our impact report for 2020/21 highlights the significant role our grants had in supporting local communities between April 2020 and March 2021

During this period we worked like never before, with record levels of funds both raised and distributed. Rising to the challenges our communities faced during Covid, our total grant-making hit £5.2m. A record in our 34 year history.

The report “A year like no other: responding together to the Covid crisis 2020/21” shows how our collaborative approach – working with our fundholders and partner community organisations – deepened this considerable impact.

The 930 projects we funded last year supported over 590,000 people in Bristol, B&NES, North Somerset and South Glos. This includes those self-isolating or shielding, hungry families or people needing mental health support due to the pressures of the pandemic. Many of these people are often marginalised from mainstream support and opportunities or live in the most deprived areas.

“We need to recognise that the need for support across local communities is as high today as it’s been throughout the pandemic. This is not a return to business as usual – we’re helping organisations adapt and work in new ways. This requires longer term, strategic support.”

Suzanne Rolt, CEO Quartet Community Foundation

As well as celebrating the outstanding contribution played by local organisations, the report also thanks donors and our fund holders for their incredible support. We also look ahead at how we can continue to work together as our communities recover from the pandemic.
