Professor Murray Stewart was one of Quartet’s Vice Presidents and wore many different hats at the foundation. He first came to Quartet through his role at UWE, facilitating one of our early staff-trustee away days when he became part of our board. He also served on the board of our national membership body, UK Community Foundations.
In 2010, Murray and his wife Diane set up their family fund with us as part of the national matched giving Grassroots challenge. He followed this with further support through the Community First challenge scheme in 2015. Through their fund, Murray and Diane supported organisations that provided opportunities to disabled children, young people and their families across the West of England.
We are grateful for all that Murray did for Quartet, and we will ensure that his commitment to our region lives on through his fund and our relationship with his family.
