Fund holders go behind the scenes in North Somerset

Group of Quartet fund holders sat around tables listening to a presentation by The Nailsea Shedders at Behind the Scenes event.

Earlier this month we hosted our latest Behind the Scenes event for fund holders and donors, in North Somerset.

It was a wonderful morning in which we invited our fund holders to hear from two groups addressing isolation and loneliness.

Phill and Donald from Nailsea Shedders shared insights into their impactful work, plus other projects including their Ukulele Band – all from their new and permanent home at Mizzymead Recreation Centre.

We also heard from Kate from Nailsea and Community District Transport who spoke about the huge support the group offers in rural locations of North Somerset, providing a life line for older isolated people.

Julie Newman, Philanthropy Officer comments, “Our Behind the Scenes event are a wonderful way for our fund holders to hear first hand from local charitable organisations and see the impact of local giving. Plus it’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends old and new, and the team at Quartet.”
