Shaping the future : our three year strategy

For 40 years, we have linked local generosity with local need. By working closely with our donors to understand their philanthropic goals, we have channelled essential funding to organisations that enhance and support the communities in which we live and work.

Together, we have built a strong foundation for the future of our region, helping to ensure that local charities can continue making a difference for generations to come. But the need has never been greater.

Creating a stronger future for local people facing disadvantage

Charities are facing unprecedented pressure as rising operating costs, increasing demand and stretched public services leave more individuals and families relying on local charitable support. From tackling poverty and isolation to improving mental health, supporting young people and driving climate action, these organisations are a lifeline for thousands across our communities.

Our ambitious three-year strategy will grow our endowment to £100 million, creating a lasting source of funding that enables charities to respond to today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. By growing our impact, we can ensure that people have access to the support they need, when they need it most, and that our communities remain resilient, connected and thriving far into the future.

Our goals

Grow our endowment to £100 million, significantly expanding our impact across local communities.

Diversify and strengthen our donor base, increasing philanthropic giving so we can distribute £6.5 million annually by 2029 in grants throughout our region.

Forge high impact partnerships to channel resources into the sector and strengthen sector resilience.

Embed a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and learning at every level of our work.

We are fully committed to this bold strategy and inspired by the lasting impact it will have on communities across the West of England, helping ensure local people can access the support they need, both now and for generations to come.
