Bursaries available for local students thanks to a generous legacy

Thanks to a generous legacy gift from a local business man, Ron Barnes, a scientist with diverse business interests and passionate about giving young people opportunities, a bursary programme has been set up through Quartet in his name: The R W Barnes Bursary Fund.

Ron was passionate about giving young people opportunities, and during his time as a fundholder with Quartet, gave 277 grants worth £266,500 to help students with their university studies.

The bursary fund offers financial assistance to undergraduates studying engineering, maths or physics at specfic UK universities.

The bursary programme is advertised through our grants section
