Annual Review 2020

Annual Review 2020

We’re delighted to share our inspiring stories of philanthropy and transformation from the past year with you. The period this report covers – 2019-2020 – marks a record-breaking year as we awarded over £3.9 million in grants between 31 March 2019 – 1 April 2020. It was a year of increased demand for our funds, as the good causes we support, particularly those that relied on funding from central or local government, dealt with reduced income and increased demand. We awarded 984 grants 2019-2020 and you can read the difference the grants made to local lives at the bottom of each page. We didn’t want to leave out the Covid response. So the report also details how thanks to our generous supporters we awarded over £1m to local groups during the first wave of Covid-19 plus includes info on our recovery plans.
