Empowering Bristol’s next generation

Ellis Genge of Bristol Bears with fans as Bristol Bears play Saracens in the Gallagher Premiership on May 5, 2024 at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, England.

Founded by England rugby star and proud Bristolian Ellis Genge, The Genge Fund is a tribute to the city that shaped him. Born from Ellis’s deep connection to Bristol and his drive to give back, the fund is a beacon of opportunity for young people facing the same challenges he once did.

Growing up in Bristol, Ellis saw the barriers that can hold youth back—limited access to opportunities, exposure to crime, and a lack of positive outlets. Now, through The Genge Fund, he’s turning that experience into action.

The fund invests in sports and education to uplift children and young people, helping them build confidence, stay on the right path, and unlock their full potential. By creating equal access to sport and learning, The Genge Fund is opening doors, inspiring dreams, and building a brighter future for the next generation of Bristolian.

Powering potential:  £22,000 raised for Bristol’s youth

In an incredible show of community spirit and generosity, Ellis hosted a memorable gala dinner that raised an impressive £22,000 in support of Bristol’s youth.

The funds have been distributed to five youth charities, each dedicated to expanding access to sport, education, and wellbeing for young people across the city.
