St Agnes Adventure Playground is an amazing and important community resource for children and families in the St Pauls area of Bristol. It has been through its fair share of challenges and has recently re-opened thanks to a small, dedicated team of trustees and volunteers.
The opportunity

Jubilee Pool
The need

The cause
Jubilee Pool and Gym became Bristol’s first community run swimming pool 2022 when it faced closure and the local authority agreed to transfer it to charitable/community ownership. The pool serves an area with some of the highest socio, economic and health challenges in Bristol and provides a vital community resource for health and wellbeing.
The opportunity
Can you help to review their current marketing activities/collateral; pull together ideas of what gaps, opportunities and limitations they have and provide some input to help them pull together their marketing plan.

We support both new and established charities and community organisations that are:
- Based and operating in the West of England (Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire).
- Working to strengthen communities experiencing inequalities and disadvantage; and/or improve the lives of local people who face difficulties and have limited access to appropriate or affordable services and support.
- We prioritise small local charities with an income under £500,000.
- Organisations are offered support if they agree that they have the time and resources to work effectively with our ProHelp volunteers.
- Charities and community groups contact us with their support needs.
- Businesses and professionals offer up their time, skills and expertise.
- We work with our ProHelp volunteers to understand the skills, services and time being offered; alongside any social issues they may be passionate about supporting.
- We match the needs of the charity with the skills of the professional, ensuring the right fit for our volunteers and the organisation.
- We keep in touch throughout the length of the project, providing ongoing reassurance and support.
- We gather feedback from our volunteers and the organisations we support on completion of a project.
- Formal recognition is presented to the professional(s) who have donated their skills and knowledge.
- You’ll have an introductory call with our ProHelp Manager, John Stienlet to discuss the project.
- If it’s a good fit, you’ll agree on how to proceed and introductions with the charitable organisation will be made.
- John will stay in touch with you throughout the project to offer support and help.
We underwrite the entire cost of providing this ProHelp service for both businesses and charities, and currently there is no required fee for businesses to use and benefit from this service. However, businesses are invited to make a voluntary contribution to support the sustainability of the service.
You can volunteer as much or as little as you like. You choose which opportunities align with your availability and expertise.
Yes! Volunteers receive a ProHelp volunteering certificate and a digital badge to showcase their contributions.
