Making it easy to make a difference

Quartet has the tools and resources to respond to the growing needs of our most disadvantaged communities.  Our generous donors trust us to manage and advise them on their charitable giving, ensuring that their donations are directed to the causes that matter to them most, and where it will have the most impact.

We award grants every year to hundreds of local charities and community groups doing vital work in the West of England. In fact, last year we donated £6m in grants, giving much needed financial support to organisations who provide essential support to those needing critical assistance.

Many of us want to donate locally, but it can be hard to know where to start. We are here to help guide you.  Whether you want to give a one-off donation or set up a fund that keeps giving for generations, Quartet can help you achieve your charitable ambitions.

Here are reasons why people choose to give through us:

I have only been working with the non-profit sector in Bristol for just over 5 years, although I personally have over 35 years’ experience of the VCSE sector.

Having supported several organisations in Bristol during that time, all of which have/had received funding from Quartet Community Foundation, it is impossible to overestimate the impact that Quartet makes to the sector and more importantly the broader community.

You seem to be right at the heart of today’s issues, whether it is supporting food clubs, creating warm space hubs, or tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour that directly impact people’s lives on a daily basis.

Communities would, in my opinion, suffer immeasurably if you were not there to underpin the various organisations working to support the poorest members of the Bristol and Southwest community.”

Understanding what’s right for you

Our personalised local philanthropy advice service helps individuals, families, and businesses to find and support causes in their community in a way that makes the biggest impact.

We know that giving is a very personal decision and people support charitable causes for many different reasons: for some it may be an emotive response to an appeal, or for others as a result of their own life experiences.

We take the time to understand local needs in depth, spot opportunities and do the full due diligence on your behalf, enabling you to make a positive contribution, one that changes the lives of others in our region, now and far into the future.

“With Quartet’s expertise and knowledge of local needs I can be confident that my funds are being well used.
