What is the Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory Bursary Fund?

The Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory (StF) bursary is an award open to all students across all courses at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. It aims to enable people to realise their ambitions in theatre; and to promote greater access and diversity for actors and theatre creatives.

What you can apply for

The fund will offer financial assistance to students on /or joining one of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School’s courses. This will be in the form of a bursary, which aim to help students develop their creative practice or increase your employability. Please note this is separate to the existing Hardship Fund at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Who can apply

This fund is open to any student studying any specialism at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Applicants must be a student at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. The fund will prioritise students who are experiencing hardship and financial barriers to completing their studies.

We aim to contact successful applicants by mid-April, and bursaries paid for the beginning of the summer term.
